ANNA MARIA
SAND JENSEN
Anna Maria Sand Jensen is an award-winning designer specializing in glass and ceramics, driven by a passion for making a positive impact through her design and craft.
Her innovative project, Unwasted, transforms local waste streams into tiles made where clay and clay contains 65–100% waste. This initiative addresses critical challenges, including the rising volumes of waste and depletion of virgin materials in ceramics and construction. At core of Unwasted is a commitment to partnerships and collaboration, connecting diverse industries with design. These collaborations provide essential streams and valuable insights, grounding the work in local contexts.
Each of Anna's creations serves as functional art, carrying meaningful messages that foster dialogue about important social issues. Through her work, she aims to drive positive change and redefine the boundaries of design and sustainability.
It is not waste if Unwasted.

"I believe that art and design have the power to bring people together, enhance awareness and start conversations about important issues."
