Beginning the Journey: Passion for Change

Since 2021, starting at The Royal Danish Academy, my craft practice has been deeply rooted in sustainability and innovation. Early on, I began questioning the environmental and social impacts of traditional material sourcing—especially the mining industry’s toll on ecosystems and vulnerable communities.

These concerns shaped my commitment to using design as a positive force for change, inspiring me to seek alternatives that reduce harm and create new value from what is often discarded.

WORKING WITH

WASTE

I approach craft with a focus on sustainability and innovation. By using a crushing machine, I am able to reduce waste and create new possibilities in my work.

By practice I specialize in working with powders produced from for instance ceramic waste, which can be used as glazes for ceramic or glass craft.

This technique I am dedicated to use to find new and exciting ways to incorporate these materials into my work, always pushing myself to create fresh and innovative pieces.

Innovation Rooted in Values

My practice is driven by a desire to align craftsmanship with meaningful values—environmental responsibility, social justice, and mental wellbeing. Working with waste materials is not just a method but a statement: that beauty and function can arise from mindful reuse.

Through this work, I strive to demonstrate how circular design can nurture new forms of connection, creativity, and care, contributing to a more resilient and thoughtful future.

Several projects have been developed , alongside a material-library of glaze and clay recipes all with 5%, 10% - all the way to 100 % waste content !

Some of the final works has won awards, grant and recognition both among the design and craft profession as well as in the construction world in regards of architectural  project.
For instance the project Unwasted.

Collaboration?

Wastestreams are everywhere.

Do you have a waste stream—whether from a company, institution, or personal practice—and wonder if it could have potential in craft, design, or art?

I’m always curious to explore new materials and inspired by testing their possibilities. Whether you're looking to rethink waste or simply want to see what could be made from your leftovers, let’s connect.

I’m happy to start a conversation, and perhaps even collect a small sample to run some tests. Who knows what we might uncover together?
